DTEK RENEWABLES has signed a deal with Vestas for the construction of the 100 MW Orlovska wind project in Ukraine.
The EUR135 million (US$154.72 million) wind facility will be supplied with 26 3.8-MW Vestas wind turbines. It will be built n the coastline of the Azov Sea in Zaporizhia Oblast.
The project is expected to generate energy needs of about 200,000 households and offsets up to 400,000 tonnes of carbon emissions per year.
Construction of the project is scheduled to start in January 2019.
