CS Energy, Powerlink to build 200 MW/400 MWh battery energy storage project in Queensland

The state-owned companies CS Energy and Powerlink are planning to build a 200 MW/400 MWh battery energy storage facility located in South East Queensland in Australia. 

CS Energy will be responsible for the construction, owning and operation of the Greenbank battery facility, while Powerlink will provide the land and connection services for the project. The construction of the facility is expected to start in 2023 with the expected operation by mid-2024.
