CS Energy has planned to acquire a 50% stake in the 372-MW Boulder Creek wind farm project being developed by Macquarie Asset Management’s Green Investment Group (GIG) in Queensland, Australia.

The Boulder Creek wind project, initially proposed by Australian renewables developer Ark Energy (formerly Epuron), is currently under development by GIG. The plan involves installing up to 60 turbines near the town of Mount Morgan in central Queensland's Rockhampton region, approximately 100 km north of CS Energy's Callide coal plant. The Queensland government approved the project's planning application in October 2021. Construction is slated to commence in late 2023, with commercial operations expected to begin by 2026. CS Energy has entered into a power off-take agreement for the entire output of the plant.
