Snowy Hydro signs PPA for 414 MW wind farm in Australia

Snowy Hydro has signed a contract for power purchase and renewables certificate from the 414 MW wind project in New South Wales currently under development by CWP Renewables.

The Uungula Wind Farm will be constructed near Wellington and has the capacity to produce enough green energy to power more than 200,000 homes. Under the agreement, Snowy Hydro will purchase the 200 MW output of the plant under a 15-year deal that will commence in 2026. 

Uungula Wind Farm has received development approval and construction is planned to start this year, supporting more than 260 jobs.
