Hydrogen Fuels Australia (H2FA) and CLARA Energy have signed an AUD600 million (US$420 million) agreement and a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to plan and construct a green hydrogen distribution network in Tarcutta, New South Wales, Australia.
The solar-powered electrolyzers will produce at least 100,000 kg of green hydrogen per day. H2FA will be in charge of operating the refueling stations and distributing the output, which will supply green hydrogen to freight logistics companies.
The Tarcutta complex is expected to be operational by 2025 and will produce 25 tonnes of hydrogen daily in its initial stage, estimated to cost AUD$500 million (US$344.7 million). Once operating at full capacity, the project will be able to provide 800 heavy haulage trucks with hydrogen. The first hydrogen refueling station is set to start operation in 2025.
