All 14 turbines of 3.6 MW each has been installed at the wind project in Cherdaklinsky district, in Russia’s Ulyanovsk region. The facility is developed by a joint venture between Fortum Oyj and Rusnano Corporation.
The plant is located 680 km south-east of Moscow having 620,000 residents. The project's original capacity is 35 MW and was increased to 50.4 MW in the 2nd phase.
Fortum and Rusnano holds 50% each in the wind investment vehicle.
The second stage of the complex is expected to start generating power as early as the first half of 2019,
