Hevel Solar has announced plans to build and put into operation the first solar power plant in the Republic of Kalmykia, located in south-west Russia, in 2019. The plant will have a generation capacity of 60 MW and will be located in the Maloderbet district of the Republic.
This announcement follows the signing of an agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kalmykia and Hevel Solar on the implementation of solar generation projects with a total capacity of at least 75 MW. The agreement provides for the construction of both grid-connected solar power plants and autonomous power plants that will supply territories isolated from the central power grid.
