Japan Renewable Energy (JRE) has started the construction of its 17 MW JRE Tsuruoka Hachimoriyama wind farm located in Tsuruoka, Yamagata prefecture, Japan.
The facility consists of five 3.4-MW wind turbines and can generate up to 36.9 million kWh annually. The project will sell power to Japanese electric utility Tohoku Electric Power Co Inc.
The project is expected to be completed by 2020.
