The joint venture of Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) and FCC Environment announce the financial close of its energy-from-waste project that will be developed in Lostock, Cheshire.
The GBP480 million (US$626.11 million) project can accommodate up to 600,000 tonnes of waste annually. The facility will replace the old coal-fired power station of the site. The two-boiler line project will be built by a consortium led by French contractor, CNIM.
The facility will be owned by Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (60%) and FCC Environment (40%) with the cooperation of Tata Chemicals Europe.
