CHN Energy has linked a 100 MW floating solar facility to the 4.1 MW tidal energy system near Wenling in Zhejiang province, China.
The solar farm is built with unidentified bifacial solar modules and is also remotely monitored using UAV inspection equipment and an artificial intelligence diagnosis system. The Jiangxia Experimental Tidal Power Station, commissioned in 1980, is made up of six dual-way tidal power generators.
The solar project will generate 100 million kWh of electricity annually, which will allow to meet the energy needs of around 30,000 people.
