CADE clears Brennand Energia stakes buyout in 254.5 MW wind portfolio from Eletrobras

Brazil's Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE) has cleared without restriction the purchase by Brennand Energia of the stakes it does not already own in the 254.5 MW wind portfolio located in Sento Se, Brazil. 

The stakes in the wind assets, form the Sento Se I, Sento Se II and Sento Se III wind farms, are acquired for a total consideration of BRL232.6 million (US$61.91 million). The projects involved are:

  • 49% of 32.9 MW Baraunas I Energetica wind project
  • 49% of 32.9 MW Morro Branco I Energetica wind project
  • 49% of 32.9 MW Mussambe Energetica wind project
  • 49% of 30 MW Pedra Branca wind project
  • 49% of 30 MW Sao Pedro do Lago wind project
  • 49% of 30 MW Sete Gameleiras wind project
  • 1.5% of 32.9 MW Baraunas II Energetica wind project
  • 1.7% of 32.9 MW Banda de Couro Energetica wind project
