Siemens Gamesa has completed the sale of its 32% shareholding in Windar Renovables to Bridgepoint.
Windar Renovables manufactures wind energy equipment. The company offers onshore wind towers and tubular-shaped structures for wind turbines and offshore foundations. Windar Renewable Energy serves customers worldwide.
The transaction was announced on May 22, 2023. The initial value of the transaction was US$700 million, the parties have agreed not to disclose the final purchase price.
Siemens Gamesa will remain a strategic partner of Windar and will keep purchasing various substructures, including jackets, floating substructures, monopiles, and transition pieces, for offshore wind energy projects across the globe.
