Grupo Daniel Alonso and Siemens have signed an agreement to sell the latter's 32% stake in Windar to Bridgepoint. Despite the acquisition, Orlando Alonso will stay on as CEO and President of Windar, and will keep an indirect minority stake in the firm.
Windar manufactures wind energy equipment. The company offers onshore wind towers and tubular-shaped structures for wind turbines and offshore foundations. Windar serves customers worldwide.
The deal is expected to close before the end of the year but is subject to regulatory approval.
