Brazil's Maringa municipality to build 10 MW solar PV plant

The municipality of Maringa is planning to build two solar photovoltaic projects with a combined capacity of 10 MW in the state of Parana, Brazil. 

The first solar farm will be constructed within the Felizardo Meneguetti Industrial Park while the second solar PV plant will be implemented in the Iguatemi district. Both projects are expected to be operational in 2023. 

The local government of Maringa is currently seeking authorization from the Water and Land Institute (IAT) and state power utility Companhia Paranaense de Energia (Copel) to develop the project.
