EDP Renováveis, S.A. (EDPR) has finalized the Sale and Purchase Agreement with Companhia Paranaense de Energia (COPEL) for the 100% ownership investment in 2 operating wind projects in Brazil with a combined 260 MW of capacity.
Located in the state of Rio Grande do Norte, the wind farms have a combined Enterprise Value of BRL1.8 billion (US$351.8 million). The transaction was signed in October 2022.
EDPR has now secured EUR3.4 billion (US$3.7 billion) in asset rotation proceeds under its EUR8 billion (US$8.7 billion) program planned for the period 2021-2025, enabling the company to accelerate value while recycling money for reinvestment in accretive development.
