Vestas has been contracted by EDF Renewables to supply and install turbines for the development of the 261 MW Serra das Almas onshore wind farm located in the municipality of Urandi, in the state of Bahia, Brazil.
The project will be equipped with 58 V150-4.5 MW wind turbines that are produced locally under the Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES) FINAME rules.
The deal with Vestas also covers a 28-year Active Output Management (AOM 4000) service agreement.
