Bid submission Deadline Extended for 100 MW (AC) Floating Solar PV Project in Ranchi

Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) has extended the Bid submission Deadline for a 100 MW (AC) Floating Solar PV Project in Ranchi, Jharkhand, India.

The selected bidder will be responsible for the Design, Engineering, Supply, Construction, Erection, Testing and commissioning of the floating solar facility. The scope of the contract covers a 10-year plant operation and maintenance (O&M) of the project.

The Getalsud Dam floating solar PV project is expected to have several benefits, including:

  • Increased renewable energy generation: The project will generate 100 MW of clean, renewable energy, which will help to reduce Jharkhand's reliance on fossil fuels.
  • Reduced greenhouse gas emissions: The project will help to reduce Jharkhand's greenhouse gas emissions by an estimated 150,000 tons per year.
  • Economic development: The project is expected to create around 1,000 jobs during construction and 50 permanent jobs during operation.

All bids must be accompanied by a bid security of INR60 million or US$1 million as specified for the contract case of Bid Security.
