NLC India has obtained approval to develop an 810 MW solar project in Bikaner, Rajasthan, India.
In December 2022, NLC India Limited successfully secured the entire 810 MW capacity in the tender held by Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Nigam Ltd. (RRVUNL). This project will be situated within RRVUNL's 2 GW Ultra Mega Solar Park in Pugal tehsil, Bikaner district. RRVUNL will provide the necessary land and power evacuation system connected to the state transmission utility, ensuring a streamlined project completion process.
With this addition, NLC's power project capacity in Rajasthan will increase to 1.36 GW, of which 1.1 GW is green power. Over its operational lifetime, this project is anticipated to generate more than 50 billion units of clean energy and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by over 50,000 tonnes.
