Contract awarded for 464 MW Wind Project in India

NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL) has awarded KP Energy Limited a contract for the development of a 464.10 MW Balance of System (BoS) Package for an Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS) Connected Wind Energy Project in Gujarat, India. 

Under this contract, the company will offer a comprehensive range of services, encompassing engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning (EPCC). These services involve tasks such as land acquisition, providing necessary equipment, and various activities related to unloading, storage, on-site handling, installation, insurance, civil construction, grid integration, testing, and commissioning. KP Energy will oversee the project's operation and maintenance for three years.

The project should be designed to accommodate wind turbine generators with a capacity of 2.7 MW or more, chosen from the Revised List of Models and Manufacturers issued by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy. Additionally, KP Energy is responsible for ensuring guaranteed performance parameters, starting from 33 kV internal evacuation lines to the ISTS substation, including unit substation, pooling substation, central monitoring and control station, and wind monitoring masts.
