Better Energy has signed a 10-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Danish circular food packaging supplier Faerch for a new 38 GW solar park to be built on a former parking lot near Hanko in southern Finland.
Under the PPA, Faerch will purchase enough renewable energy to meet approximately 70% of its yearly electricity needs in Finland. Faerch is Better Energy’s first PPA partner in the country. The park is set to produce 38 GWh of renewable energy per year, which is equivalent to the energy consumption of more than 2,000 Finnish households, with grid connection anticipated in 2026.
