Array Technologies plans to establish a manufacturing facility in Australia, following the signing of the contract to supply trackers for the 102 MW Glenrowan solar photovoltaic (PV) project in the state of Victoria. The solar farm is anticipated to provide enough electricity to power about 45,000 Australian households.
Pacific Partnerships, a subsidiary of Cimic Group, is the developer of the PV park. Array Technologies will first provide ground-mounted tracker systems for the solar scheme, but will ultimately supply trackers for other new solar arrays throughout Australia.
The solar farm's construction has already begun, and the project is projected to begin operations by the end of 2023. It will connect to the existing Glenrowan Terminal Substation.
