Aquila Capital and Alpiq have signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) for the 50 MW La Cabrita solar PV project in Almeria, Andalucia, Spain.
With the 5-year PPA starting in the summer of 2021, Aquila Capital will provide Alpiq with 100% renewable energy at competitive price levels.
The project is expected to generate enough energy to supply the consumption of about 25,000 homes per year and avoid 28,986 tonnes of CO2 emissions annually.
Once connected to the grid, the project will be able to produce 87 GWh annually.
