ABEI Energy starts the construction of the 50 MW PSFV Cartuja solar photovoltaic project located in Jerez (Cadiz) within the framework of the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) and the operation and maintenance (O&M) contract that is has signed with PSFV Cartuja SL, the special purpose vehicle set up by Everwood Capital and ABEI.
The facility consists of up to 94, 308 bifacial photovoltaic panels of 530 Wp of unit power and can produce about 108 GWh of energy per year. ABEI is building one sectioning center in the solar plant and a transformer line position in a grid connection collection substation, in addition to the underground medium voltage evacuation line that will connect both infrastructures.
The project has been financed by Liberbank and has an agreement for the sale of the energy generated with the trading company Axpo. The facility is scheduled to start operating in September 2021.
