APEX Group has reached an agreement to secure three strategically significant land plots in Lubmin, Germany to house up to 600 MW of installed electrolyzer capacity for hydrogen production.
APEX envisions completing the initial phase of construction by 2027. The company will oversee the construction and subsequently operate the plants. To support these efforts, intense discussions are ongoing with other stakeholders to jointly establish the necessary infrastructure for electricity and water supply, as well as wastewater disposal.
Once fully operational, the plant is anticipated to generate approximately 43,000 metric tons of hydrogen annually, effectively preventing the release of over 400,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide. The electricity powering this process will originate mainly from renewable sources in northern Germany, ensuring 100% green power.
