Amazon has announced that it will begin construction of a 60-megawatt (MW) solar farm, located in southwestern South Korea.
This initiative is designed to generate 81,211 megawatt hours (MWh) of environmentally friendly energy. The intention is to provide renewable energy to the electrical grid that supports Amazon's facilities, encompassing corporate offices and AWS data centers. The development and operation of this solar power project are governed by a newly established long-term corporate power purchase agreement (PPA) between Amazon and SK E&S. SK E&S will oversee the construction and ongoing management of the project.
