Air Liquide has announced that it has opened its renewable energy-powered liquid hydrogen production and logistics infrastructure facility in Nevada, USA.
The total investment in the project and supporting logistical infrastructure is US$250 million. The facility is expected to generate 700 contractors and 25 full-time jobs.
It will feed the clean mobility market on the West Coast, particularly in California, as well as diverse industrial users, with a daily capacity of 30 tonnes of liquid hydrogen. The facility's output is expected to be sufficient to serve over 40,000 fuel cell automobiles in California.
