AES submits EIS for 280 MW Nolana wind project in Taltal

AES Gener SA, a unit of AES Corporation, has submitted the environmental impact statement (EIS) to build the 280 MW Nolana wind project located about 40 kilometers (24.8 miles) north-east of the coastal town of Paposo in the Taltal commune, Antofagasta.

AES Gener SA plans to invest US$257 million in the Nolana wind project. The project will consist of 50 turbines, with 5.6 MW of nominal capacity each.
