ACME Group has announced a new partnership with KBR Technology for the development of the Hydrogen and Ammonia project in Oman.
The project involves the construction of a hydrogen and green ammonia production facility with a capacity to produce 300 metric tons per day of ammonia. The project will be located in the Special Economic Zone at Duqm. Under the contract, KBR will provide technology licence, engineering, proprietary equipment, catalyst and commissioning services for a plant.
The integrated facility will use 3 GWp of solar and 0.5 GWp of wind energy to produce 2,400 TPD of green ammonia with an annual production of about 0.9 million tonnes. The produced green ammonia will be exported to Europe and Asia.
