Aboitiz Power Corporation (AboitizPower) has signed a long-term Cleanergy deal with SM Prime Holdings, Inc. in an effort to promote a more environmentally responsible future for the Philippines. Cleanergy will provide power to SM Prime properties like malls, offices, hotels, and convention centers. This will help the company reach its goal of increasing its portfolio of renewable energy by more than 50% across all of its business segments by the end of 2022.
Cleanergy is the AboitizPower's brand for clean and renewable energy. The company is ready to supply Cleanergy with power from its Tiwi-MakBan geothermal power plants and Sinag's solar power facilities, which are run and managed by AboitizPower subsidiary Aboitiz Renewables, Inc. (ARI).
