Aboitiz Renewables Inc., a renewable energy unit of Aboitiz Power Corp., has been awarded a grant by the United States Trade and Development Agency to conduct a feasibility study for the potential implementation of offshore wind projects in the Philippines.

The study aims to identify ideal sites where the projects are to be constructed and provide technical and economic analysis for the potential 3 GW wind power generation.

Aboitiz is partnering with Singapore-based investment firm Clime Capital Management and the Rocky Mountain Institute of the US to conduct the feasibility study. The study is expected to complete in the middle of 2023.
