1.7 GW combined-cycle gas turbine power plant in Teesside receives consent

The 1.7 GW combined-cycle gas turbine power plant in Teesside has received a development consent from the business and energy authority. The project will be located at the Wilton International industrial complex, on 1,875 MW gas power station that was decommissioned.

The company already operates 210 MW of combined heat and power generation in the site alongside the biomass and energy-from-waste facility.
