Nama Power and Water Procurement Company has revealed the pre-qualified candidates for the OMR 155 million (US$ 401 million) Ibri III solar project to be built in Ibri, a city in the governorate of Ad Dhahirah, in northwestern Oman.
Qualified applicants include Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (Masdar), ACWA Power, Al Riyadh National Trading and Korea Midland Power (KOMIPO), Jinko Power, Sembcorp Utilities, TotalEnergies Renewables, EDF Renouvelables and Korean Western Power (KOWEPO), International Power S.A. (Engie) and Sumitomo Corporation.
Nama Power and Water Procurement Company is finalizing the Request for Proposal (RFP), which will be issued to pre-qualified applicants after receiving the necessary approvals. Ibri III is the company’s fourth Independent Power Project (IPP) solar initiative, following Ibri II, which has been operational since summer 2021, and the Manah I and Manah II solar projects, which are currently under construction.
