EWE AG

Company description

EWE AG is a major German utility and infrastructure group headquartered in Oldenburg, Lower Saxony. Established in 1930, it originated as a regional electricity supplier serving the Ems-Weser-Elbe region and over the decades has grown into one of Germany’s leading providers of energy, gas, water, telecommunications, and IT services. Today, EWE’s operations span a broad array of services: it generates and distributes electricity and natural gas, manages water supply and wastewater treatment, operates power and gas networks, and enables telecommunications — including broadband, mobile, and other digital infrastructure — across parts of northwestern Germany, Brandenburg, the island of Rügen and some neighboring regions.
