Zenobe Energy to build 100 MW energy storage project in Capenhurst

Zenobe Energy Ltd starts construction of a 100 MW battery energy storage project at Capenhurts in the city of Chester, UK. 

Once operational, the project can store and supply enough energy for the consumption of up to 100,000 households for an hour during peak demand. 

National Grid Plc has awarded Zenobe Energy a GBP3 million (US$4.1 million) contract to deal with the increased volatility in the frequency and voltage network in the Merseyside.
