Argentine power producer and energy developer YPF Luz has issued green bonds with a total amount of US$63.9 million to fund the construction of its 100 MW solar photovoltaic project located in the province of San Juan in Argentina.
The green bond has a rate of 5% and a final maturity of 10 years. The proceeds will be used to finance the construction of the 100 MW first phase of the Zonda solar PV project that will be installed on about 300 hectares of land in Bella Vista.
The first phase project represents a total investment of US$93 million. Once operational, it can generate enough energy for up to 70,000 local homes.
