Pampa Energia SA is planning to extend an additional 81 MW capacity to its 53 MW wind farm project located in Coronel Rosales in the Buenos Aires province of Argentina.
Named as 'Pampa Energia III', the wind farm was put into operation in 2019 and consists of 19 wind turbines. The developers will invest up to US$120 million to build an additional 18 wind turbines.
Sociedad Argentina de Construccion y Desarrollo Estrategico (SACDE), a local Argentinian company, has been contracted to build the necessary platforms and foundations. The construction activities are set to start in 2022 with the target commissioning of the wind farm by the second quarter of 2023.
