The Government of Argentina, through the Project for Renewable Energy in Rural Markets (PERMER) of its Ministry of Energy and Mining, has launched a tender for the development and operation of a solar photovoltaic plant with accumulation, integrated into a mini-grid in the Luracatao Valley, Province of Salta.
The project's investment is estimated at US$6 million. Once operational, the PV array can generate enough energy to meet the demands of eight Diaguita Calchaqui indigenous communities, schools, healthcare facilities, a police station, and other neighborhood centers.
