Energía Provincial Sociedad del Estado (EPSE) will build a 50 MWp solar photovoltaic project on the plateau in an area of approximately 100 hectares located on land owned by the Municipality of Neuquén in Argentina. EPSE has also signed a Power Purchase Agreement contract with Provincial Cooperative of Public and Community Services Ltda. for the energy produced from the solar project.
The construction phase of the project is expected to last approximately five months and will be developed in four stages. Once completed, the PV plant will supply electricity to some 40,000 homes. The first stage includes preliminary studies on the area and on the installation of the project, analysis of existing information, advice on the preparation of the SPE (company for specific purposes), and the first technical and economic evaluation. The second stage will focus on the development of studies, analysis, and detailed information necessary for the installation of the project, economic evaluation, and tentative technology proposal and layout options.
In the third stage, the General and Particular Terms and Conditions will be drawn up to tender the construction and commissioning of the project. The fourth stage involves assistance, once the tender has been carried out, in the technical and economic evaluation of the offers and the presentation of the final report for adjudication.
