Yellow Door Energy is set to build a 17 MW solar photovoltaic farm that will be developed in the east of Amman to supply power for several Carrefour stores in Jordan.
The facility will consist of about 300,000 solar panels. Carrefour has awarded the build-own-operate-transfer (BOOT) wheeling agreement to Yellow Door. The project is expected to generate power to cover 100% of Carrefour's electricity demand for stores in Amman, Zarqa, Madaba, and Al-Sal.
The solar farm is set to be operational by 2020.
