Philadelphia Solar has completed and achieved the commercial operation date of the first utility-scale solar and storage project in MENA region with a capacity of 23 MWp/12.6 MWh.
The 23 MWp/12.6 MWh Al Badiya Phase II solar and energy storage project is located in Al Mafraq, Jordan. The second phase includes an expansion of 11 MWp, consists of approximately 34,320 of solar modules (320 Wp each) & tracking system, and a 12.6 MWh Lithium Ion energy storage system.
The project is considered as the first utility-scale solar power plant combined with energy storage system in the MENA region.
