Germany's WPD Windmanager, in partnership with Montenegro's Vjetroelektrana Budva, is set to launch the construction of the 70 MW onshore wind project in the Balkan country by mid-2020.
In October, the consortium is the only bidder for the project placing about EUR101.3 million (US$111.6 million) commitment for the development. It is set to start the power production activities within three years after the signing of a contract with the government.
Vjetroelektrana Budva, 80% owned by WPD, has executed the research, measurements, and technical research of the wind potential of the site in Brajici.
