German renewable energy developer wpd plans to build a 415 MW wind farm project in northeastern North Macedonia. The project has an estimated investment of about EUR500 million (US$577.67 million).
Located between the towns of Kumanovo and Kriva Palanka, the 415 MW Vivori onshore wind farm will consist of 69 wind turbines. The project will generate enough energy to supply 290,000 homes once operational.
The Government of North Macedonia plans to secure up to 1,500 MW from solar plants and about 700 MW from wind farms.
