The Public Service Commission (PSC) of the State of Wisconsin has approved the development of the two solar projects - Two Creeks Solar located in Manitowoc and Kewaunee counties, and the Badger Hollow Solar Farm in Iowa County.
The 150 MW Two Creek Solar project is being developed by NextEra Energy while the 300 MW Badger Hollow Solar Farm is being developed by Invenergy. The two projects would cost about US$390 million to build on 5,000 acres of land.
PSC has also granted approval for the sale of the Two Creeks project to Wisconsin Public Service, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, and to Madison Gas & Electric and the eventual sale of half of the Badger Hollow project to the two utilities.
