Terna Energy SA has signed an agreement to acquire a wind farm in Texas, USA. The facility has a power output capacity of 200 MW. The transaction was valued at EUR 275 million (US$ 310 million). Terna Energy is a renewable power producer based in Greece.
The company did not name the project but stated that the project started its commercial operation 15 months ago.
The new purchase expands the portfolio of the company in the USA to 493 MW. The combined capacity includes 138 MW wind farm in Idaho and 155 MW wind park in Texas. Presently, the company is also building 158 MW wind facility in Texas.
