NextPower III, a fund managed by NextEnergy Capital, has completed the purchase of two solar photovoltaic projects, 28 MW Briel Farm Solar located Henrico County and an 18 MW Gardy's Mill Solar facility located in Westmoreland County, Virginia, USA, from Urban Grid.
The two projects would cost about US$40 million to construct and will generate electricity equivalent to the consumption of 9,785 homes and offset approximately 123,706,737 pounds of CO2 annually.
The facilities are expected to commence operation by March 2020.
