Wien Energie has commissioned the 11.45 MW Schafflerhofstrasse solar photovoltaic project in Vienna, Austria, and the plant goes into operation.
The PV plant is designed as an agricultural photovoltaic, combining annual electricity production of over 12 GWh and serving as a pasture area for 150 Jura sheep from April to October. It is equipped with 25,626 photovoltaic modules, from which 400 bifacial (double-sided). The project will supply energy to 4,900 households.
The project was built by MaxSolar, the O&M providing company.
