OX2 has signed an asset management agreement for Soidinmäki wind farm with Aquila Capital, an asset manager specialising in sustainable real asset investments.
OX2 will be responsible for the technical, commercial and financial management of the Soidinmäki wind farm to ensure optimal asset performance on behalf of Aquila Capital. OX2 already manages the Korkeakangas, Tyrinselkä, and Ykspihlaja wind farms in Finland, which are included in the portfolios of funds managed by Aquila Capital.
Soidinmäki wind farm was built between 2022 and 2023 and entered commercial operation in 2023. It consists of 7 GE wind turbines and has an estimated annual production of about 126 gigawatt hours, which is equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of 25,000 households (5,000 kWh/household). OX2 manages a total of 1,262 wind turbines. In addition to wind farms, OX2 is also managing solar farms and energy storage systems with a total capacity of 6.7 gigawatt.
