Leroy Merlin and Voltalia have signed a 15-year power purchase agreement (PPA) for the production of a new 30 MW solar photovoltaic (PV) plant in the Centre-Val de Loire region of France.
The deal will enable Leroy Merlin to source about 15% of its electricity consumption from renewable energy. It was reached at a predetermined price for at least 15 years, with the possibility of extension.
The solar power facility is anticipated to be operational by 2025.
