The Community of Communes of Haute-Saintonge has selected BayWa r.e. and Lhyfe to develop a 40 MWp solar photovoltaic (PV) project linked with an energy storage system located at the Pôle Mécanique de la Haute-Saintonge on the mid-Atlantic coast of France. If options for local offtake and usage are proven, green hydrogen production will also be introduced to the project.
BayWa r.e. will oversee the construction of the PV park with an annual output of 52 GWh, as well as the installation of the battery storage system. Lhyfe will be in charge of the implementation of the green hydrogen generating unit.
