Voltalia has started the construction of the 37.4 MW Rives Charentaises wind farm project located in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, France.
The project will be constructed across six municipalities between Vienne (Lizant, Genouillé, and Surin) and Charente (Taizé-Aizie, Nanteuil-en-Vallée, and Le Bouchage). It will consist of 17 2.2-MW wind turbines.
Commissioning of the wind farm is targeted in the first half of 2024. Once operational, it is expected to generate enough power for up to 32,800 homes.
